As a Reiki Master Teacher I often get asked by my students what music I use in client sessions and what albums I recommend for them to use as they are first starting out so I have decided to share this with the wider Space In Between Community. It is wonderful when you are newbie practitioner building your confidence to use music that either has bells or music changes every 3 – 5 minutes, so you don’t have to constantly be looking at the clock for when you need to change hand positions. This style of music guidance is not also wonderful to use in your client sessions, but also lovely for self-healing practices. I am an avid music lover, and have a tendency to be a little fussy when it comes to the music I like to listen too. I am pedantic when it comes to choosing music for my meditation albums and also super choosy about what is playing when I am running workshops and seeing clients for 1:1 sessions. The albums below are my personal favourites and ones that I have discovered after years of hunting through MANY different albums. I hope they bring you as much aural & healing pleasure as they have for me and my clients over the years.

Parijat “Healing Waves” Lovely album filled with beautiful soft guitar & piano music infused with strings, lush pads and more. Has bells every 3 or so minutes to signify hand change.

Anuvida & Nik Tyndall “Reiki Essence” Asian inspired harps, flutes and more with subtle quiet chimes every 3 – 4 minutes. https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/reiki-essence/id27945275
Llewellyn “Reiki Healing Journey” This album has been composed especially for Reiki healings. Rather than having bells, each track itself is a chakra point. Really beautiful. It was the first Reiki album I ever got and after 8 years using it, it’s like an old comfortable friend. https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/reiki-healing-journey-vol.-1/id80720024
Niall “Reiki River” This gorgeous album is infused with lots of nature sounds, running water, birds, rustling of leaves, some angelic chanting and each track goes for around 5 minutes. Stunning.

Kamal “Reiki Whale Dreaming” This album doesn’t have bells or chimes to signify position changes, however I had to list it as it’s really beautiful. Infused amongst beautiful organic sounding flutes, singing bowls, rain sticks, spacious pads and drums is whale singing. It is done in a really lovely natural, non dominating way.
